Inspired by one of Fang Lijun’s emblematic artworks, these pieces feature the figure of a bald man caught in a yawn. Reinterpreted in crystal, this image charged with meaning, is revealed in a new light, elevated by Lalique’s know-how.

Fang Lijun

Fang Lijun has established himself as a major figure among artists of his generation. In the 1990s, he contributed significantly to the emergence of ‘cynical realism’, a movement that has become emblematic of the Chinese contemporary painting.

Renowned for his bald male figures, which have become his signature, each of his works is deeply charged with meaning and shaped by a reflection on the human condition. His unique style has earned him international recognition, with numerous exhibitions held around the world.
